Below you can admire the comments that [name removed due to the negative nature of the post, which goes against Section 11 of our Translator Agreement - Lara], Gengo Language Specialist made on my test.
They either lack fluency in English themselves or are not afraid to make up errors because nobody will ever know, check or challenge their own skills.
missing space: PLN500 [Is a space after a currency symbol required in British English?]
wrong word:All in Norway were in agreement. - should be Everyone [?]
should be singular: The police marks [Is this not in the singular?]
Stay clear and keep your inner peace people!

Hi Lexi,
I see that you've edited your original post into a direct attack, singling out one of our Language Specialists. Please note that I will now proceed to change the title and edit the body of your message.
While feedback, constructive criticism, and discussion are always welcome in our forums, singling out of an individual to directly attack them and question their capabilities in public will not be tolerated.
Please allow me to use this opportunity to remind you of our Guidelines for Participation in the Forums. Please also refer to Section 11 of our Translator Agreement, and be aware that any further violation of our terms of use will result in banning.
Thanks,
Lara

Hi Lara,
I am glad to see you did read both of my posts. I had exhausted all channels you provide for quality control and was continually rebuffed with, ‘The test result is final. You can take another test.’ Only then did I take to posting on your forum.
I think you have fundamental issues with you Language Specialists.
If that does not concern you, than please accept my apologies for thinking you were interested in upholding high standards of translation.
Kind regards
Lexi
Hi Lexi,
Yes, I had seen your post and had already passed your feedback along for our Quality Team to look at (which doesn’t necessarily mean that there will be any changes made.)
Regardless, the test result is indeed final, and you are always welcome to take it again. All our translators are given 3 chances to take the tests, and the feedback received is always good motivation to reflect upon one’s work and how we can continue to grow and improve as translators.
I can completely understand your frustration. However, public attacks on the forums are really not the best way to build your case.
Thanks,
Lara
Great! That’s all needed to hear. I genuinely thought no one reads the posts.
I do not think you need any Polish to British English translators currently. You have enough already and not enough work to go around. My frustration is caused by this lack of clarity and resorting to manufacturing errors to limit numbers of translators registered with you. I applied following an advertisement on the Indeed site, so I thought the job opening was genuine.
Thank you for treating me like a real human being!
Lexi
The job opening *is* genuine, Lexi :)
As long as the tests are open, that is (I would need to check if they’re still open right this very moment). We close testing for language pairs for which we don’t need translators, meaning that tests are subject to be closed at any point once the required number of vacancies is filled.
Thank you for your understanding!
Lara
Hello. How many test am I supposed to take the become a gengo translator? I already passed the standard test so I'm pro now. What comes next after approoving that level test?
Hi @jrksalmost29 - You've passed the Standard test, so you're a Standard level translator. To be a Pro level translator, you need to pass the Pro level test :)
