Hi there - I'm sorry to hear about this change in PayPal's operations in China.
Have you considered switching to Payoneer? :) They've recently removed load fees for all Gengo payments, and my understanding is that their bank withdrawal fees have also been lowered from 2% to 1.2% in China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. It may be worth looking into it!

Hey all - on the topic of the 100 Collection Club - this is completely legit :)
This is an initiative we started last year, where we send a small gift to translators who have completed their first 100 collections with us. However, after having repeated trouble with China Post, I have recently suspended shipments to China. This is because many of our translators in China were not receiving their gift, and instead of being able to provide a good experience where we celebrated your hard work and commitment, it was turning into a frustrating experience for many of you.
Once we find a better shipping option for our purposes, I will resume shipments to China!
Also, @Ch'ü Tsê-t'ien, we also do reward long standing dedicated translators, whom we award the title of Wordsmiths. This is based not on the number of collections, but on the number of units translated (500,000). :)

Hi @Lara, how can the others know whether one is Wordsmiths or not ? This should be a title of honor, which means it should be recognized by the others in the community. I suggest Gengo add something special on translators' avatars so everyone can recognize his/her honor.

@wangz168pjh GENGO 要求算低的吧，当然不知道其他语言对如何，反正我感觉日中的 STD 和 PRO 都不难。我这种非科班出身零履历的时候都能通过，而现在有几百万字翻译经验了以后笔试一些日本本土的翻译企业也只有少数能通过。所以我觉得如果觉得 GENGO 难的话。。。尚需努力吧。。。

I have been working for Gengo since 2012 and translated 600,534 unit in total with score of 9.9. why I still did not get the title of Wordsmith?
I don't expect Wordsmith interview and posted on twitter, facebook or something else, I am a low-key person, I just want a Gengo T-shirt, or a badget on my Gengo Avatar. I wonder if my request is feasible.

I've double checked and it looks like you were awarded the Wordsmith title in March 2017. You should have received an email from me with the subject "500,000 Words of Gengo". It's possible that you missed it or that it went into your Spam folder. If you haven't recently deleted the contents of your Spam folder, could you please check for me? 我也是这个顾虑……PayPal 的适用面毕竟大一些……
之前连连支付小额还可以，大额还没有 flat rate 35USD 划算。
现在问题是金融监管很严格，国内许多银行都不接受公对私的汇款。我上礼拜提现到中国银行，银行还让我出示了提现证明，还好没卡。
目前看起来似乎只有中国银行支持 PayPal 电汇转账。如果有其他银行的信息也可以分享下。

目测楼主你是资深翻译了，所以想请问你是否碰过类似的情况？

我截至目前都完成了 16,822 个 collection 了，也没听说呀。这事儿我之前也幻想过，在接到 1,000 单的时候暗中等待了一下，想着会不会有什么惊喜，结果没有；在接到 10,000 单的时候觉得该回馈一下老译员了吧？结果还是没有……
我（如果记忆没有错的话）是 2012 年知道 gengo 的，考了几次，到 2013 年年底才加入，2014 年 1 月初才开始在这里接单的。那时候和现在整个网站的布局也好、workbench 的样子也好，都不一样。本来前不久想写个面向想要加入 gengo 的新人的指南来着，后来发现几年过去后变化很大，可能我当初的经历已经不具备指导意义了。甚至连 style guides 都有细微的变化。所以……也就放弃了。
你可以发一个新的 post 在 Chinese Forum 里问一下，gengo 的主管貌似会经常巡视这些 fora, 或许会给你答复。实在不行就在 support 页面点右上角的 submit a request 然后问一下吧（我记得以前还是叫 ticket 的，果然连用词也有细微的变化……）。
这种事情也不见得就不可能，我之前也收到过 Mozilla 寄的礼物，以及 PayPal 的 US$5.00 的红包（这个好像大家新注册的时候都有？）。所以还是问一下。
我这种老油条看来是没得享受了……

你应该是一次性汇得太多了。
我是招行的储蓄卡，我每个月都提一点，就从来没有被卡过。哦对了，再就是我都是收到电汇后直接结汇，没取过外币。招行还是蛮不错的，推荐一下。

我一直都是累积到一定数额再提，35 USD 的提现费自然是提得越多越划算。
几年来我一直是这个数额，只是最近一次中行工作人员告诉我 6 月份起会严格审核公对私的汇款。
我也咨询过 PayPal，他们基本上也是推荐招行。如果以后中行还被卡，我就改用招行好了。
另外你完成了一万多个 Collection？这数量太惊人了，我 2015 年开始做，Dashboard 里显 Jobs Completed 也只有 3000 多而已而已。
哦对了楼主、给我发邮件的人是你这个楼上的第一个人Lara😂，我仔细看过了名字一样，应该没问题吧

你是什么语言对儿的？中英这边小单（几个单词甚至一两个单词的那种）很多，我这 17K 的 Jobs 也才不到 10K 的 USD. 也就是平均每单 0.5 USD 左右，这么想是不是就不惊人了？（译时至今还没到 1.5Kh）
而且我加入得毕竟比你早一年嘛。
