Hello.

" the pandemic situation is getting better," said the president.

Which translation is better,please?

1. قال الرئيس إن الحالة الوبائية في تحسن.

2. قال الرئيس:" إن الحالة الوبائية في تحسن."

Is there anything in particular I have to pay attention to while translating direct speech from English to Arabic?

    The second one. If there is a quotation mark, then you should use it in your TL.
