Yes, and that's why the issue is much more big than you think. If reviewers do selfish scoring, people who should have passed the test would never be able to pass it, unless reviewers do it correctly and fairly.
I guess the reviewers can get some money by rejecting translations from new users. It makes sense because it's easy to reject a translation by thinking selfishly compared with reading it fairly.
For example, I got at lest two wrong Japanese corrections from the two reviewers. They have read Japanese sentences wrongly, and I don't know if they did it on purpose though. I laughed when they did, ironically.

All test reviews are final, and we will not be able to answer inquiries regarding test decisions.
Test answers are not to be shared with other test takers.
We ask all of our translators to read these instructions before taking tests with us.
I appreciate your frustration, but discussing test results openly on a public forum is completely against the rules that were outlined before you took the test.
I'm sorry I messed it up. I meant I'm okay even if the test's result is final.
I'm saying that because as you said the test's result is usually or always(?) final, and so the reviewers should read translations carefully and fairly. But seemingly, some don't do it so.

Thanks to you too for your kind message. Just to clarify (including for the benefit of others that may be reading), the reason that we ask translators not to discuss test results publicly is that in doing so they might give other translators an unfair advantage, and we want everybody to be able to sit the test under the same conditions.
If you still have concerns then you're welcome to raise these with the Support team and they will be able to advise further (support@gengo.com). I hope that all of this information helps.

I contacted staff personally a few hours ago after I noticed here is not right place, and I'm waiting for their official answer:)
For the benefit of everybody reading this discussion:
I'd like to clarify that anybody with a Gengo translator account is entitled to post articles or comments on the forum, and to edit or delete these articles and comments if and when they choose to, for whatever reason, so long as they maintain the standards set out in our Translator Agreement and follow the guidelines for forum participation, which are as follows:
Do help others if you can
Do respect your fellow translators and Language Specialists / Reviewers
Don't report urgent technical issues; these go here
Don't make comments that are hurtful, mean or likely to make anyone uncomfortable

ところで、原文を調べるという意味では、テストではどこから出典されたかはわかりますが、それで問題ないのではないでしょうか。
ただ、原文の全体を読むというのも良い手だと思いました。テストではおそらく一部抜粋されただけなので、全部読むことで解釈がより正しくできそうですね！盲点でした。

過去に以下の経験をしています。受験回数は6回前後だと思います。
1)日本語が理解できていない採点者と感じたこと。
なぜそのような解釈をしたの？と思わざるを得ないものでした。
2)直訳すれば日本語がおかしいといわれ、意訳すればそのような意味は原文にないと言われる。
もちろん意訳が本当に間違っていたら、ダメなのも納得ですが、原文の解釈次第でどちらの意味(採点者の取られ方か受験者の捉え方が正しいのか、原文だけではわからないもの)もあるかと思います。このような状況のとき、採点者の意見のみ採用されるので不公平に感じました。
これを利用すれば、仮に受験者の解釈があっていても、採点者が別の解釈をすれば正しい解釈、翻訳でも永遠に合格できない可能性がありますよね。
Geognoの採点の仕組み上、上記(採点者の主張が常に採用される？)を利用すればまじめに採点するより簡単に報酬が入ると思います。仕組みにも問題があるのではないでしょうか？もちろん、私の翻訳や解釈がいつも正しいと言いたいわけではありません。
