Some language specialists think they are demi gods or what??? We are all Pro level translators, but you receive some reviews which make you wonder whether the editor knows what they are flagging as erroneous. You guys should do your homework before reviewing. I do not review for dollars, but only if I am versed in the domain.

    Hi Cris,

    Thanks for your post.

If you've received a review that you do not agree with, I would encourage you to submit a re-review request according to the instructions described here.

Given the emotional nature of some of your comments, I will also take this opportunity to remind you and all readers of the rules for participation in our forums:

    Guidelines for Participation

DO help others—if you can! :)

DO respect your fellow translators and Language Specialists / Reviewers

DON’T report urgent technical issues; these go here

DON’T make comments that are hurtful, mean or likely to make anyone uncomfortable

Please remember that you're free to disagree with the LS and to voice said disagreement, however, please keep in mind that this is also a professional environment :)

    Thanks,

    Lara

Personally, I've already given up on trying to make sense of some of the reviews I get. Some are surely enough correct, but some are really just petty remarks. Of course you can appeal, but as long as the appeal goes to the SAME PERSON who wrote the review, you cannot expect it to change much.
