I finished a rather lengthy job last week, and now, on the 5th day since I submitted it, the customer has returned it for corrections, citing "- The translation contains spelling or grammatical errors. - The translation misses key meaning or details from the original."

But the comment they provided doesn't specify anything.  Instead, they ask if it is possible to send a Word format document with comments for me to respond to (without uploading any new files).  It's night in Japan right now, and my corrections period expires in 20 hours.  I don't want to lose the job without having had a chance to correct it, and I also don't want to send back the same thing just so that I can beat the deadline.  What should I do?

    Hi JETrans26,

Please ask the customer in a comment to upload the doc with the questions onto Dropbox (or any other similar platform) and let you know the link to access it, so you can download it. This should work for you both :)

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any other questions or need help!

That's a great suggestion, thanks, and I left a comment, but what if the deadline approaches and nothing has happened?  The customer already waited 4+ days before commenting at all.

Just another option--you can also ask the customer to email Support with the file and have the file emailed to do--it's a little clunkier but if the customer is unfamiliar with Dropbox, etc. it might be easier for them. I had to do this just last week, in fact.

Hopefully they will get back to you, since they have gone through the lengths of creating a word document with their questions! :) Let's stay positive!
However, if you see the deadline approach without a response, please contact support directly (support@gengo.com) including the job number so they can look into it.
    Good luck! :)

Thank you, all.  I'm hoping that this situation can be resolved well myself.
