Just as a helpful reminder - the official channel for applications is by registering through gengo.com/translators
Thanks all!

Hmm... are you really inviting somebody who speaks "all languages" to join Gengo? Just askin'.

Hello dunkel! I wrote the above as a reminder that in order to work with Gengo, all prospective translators must sit and pass our translation tests. The reason for the clarification is that I see that people sometimes use the forum to write about their skills and experience, and while people are free to comment on anything they want to provided this meets our community guidelines, the only way of actually being able to work with us is by passing our tests when they are open.
In theory anyone could sit a translation test (when open) but our test guidelines state that we expect translators to be native speakers of their target language.

I am a pro translator, I didnt get any job here. support says tasks are given to preffered translators. What nonsence is this????.
Why gengo takes test then, if they already have selected (preffered) translators? As I am not getting any job, how would I
can deliver my best results to clients? how can I communicate? how to move on???? Seriously, gengo is really very disoppointing.

Hi @Aisha.
We open the test for a language pair based on demand and/or the number of available active translators. In your case, this might be related to the latter. I will contact you personally once I get clarification from our team.
