Hey guys! :)
I hope you are enjoying the Forum.
I am getting back to you regarding tijana's request for Forum Lessons as seen in other language pairs. (She asked for this on the thread where you all initially requested the Serbian Forum.)
I passed the request along and we will be working on the lessons. However, it will likely take some time before they become available.
In the meanwhile, we encourage you guys to use this forum to bring up topics about what you find most challenging in your translation works and discuss it with others, in a peer-to-peer lesson style. We would like for you all to share your knowledge and help each other but, if clarification as per Gengo's quality standards or style is needed, we may reach out to the corresponding STs for help (but please don't take this as a general rule!)
Hope this helps and stay tuned for updates!
Lara

Thanks a lot!! You are definitely the best!!
Any news regarding Forum Lessons?
Hi tijana,
Thanks for your interest! I am afraid that, as I stated on the original post, the lessons are going to take a while, but please rest assured that we are working on them and that I will let you know as soon as any update comes my way :)
Keep up the good work! :)

Hi tijana, and everyone else!
I'm getting back to you again regarding the lessons! I have checked and I am afraid to say that, given the insufficient demand for these lessons (so far only tijana has asked for them) there have been changes and we will have to hold off on them. We *may* reconsider them again if there is enough demand, but for the time being I would like to encourage you all to actively start peer to peer discussions on translation topics that you are interested in or that you find especially challenging, as I suggested on the original post.
An idea would be to think of the content that you would like to see if we were to actually carry out any lessons, and start a discussion about it to share your knowledge with your peers. I am sure you all have different areas of specialty and can help each other, and provide information that will be useful to everybody! :) For example, you could start a thread about untranslatable / difficult to translate words (that have no equivalent in the other language) and how you deal with it - but this is just an example, anything that you can think of is valid!
As for our STs, they are aware of the existence of this Forum and they are free to subscribe and jump in if they want to. This means that our STs are not obligated to respond or to actively take part in the Forums, so that would be completely up to them. I may help and reach out to them in special circumstances, such as a particular problem in which we would need their help or clarification because it affects Gengo's quality standards, etc, but, again, as I said before, please don't take it as a general rule.
I apologize for letting you down with the lessons, but I know you are all a pretty active group and I am looking forward to seeing you guys start some discussions!
