So I have read through all the support materials but it doesn't say anything about indenting paragraphs. If the original text (in my case Japanese) does not have any indents at the start of a paragraph, do I follow the same format and not indent the paragraphs translated to English?

Thanks :)

I am new here, translating from Japanese to English as well. I would go ahead and "translate the format" into what English-speaking readers are used to. Thus, yes, DO indent. At least that would go along with the spirit of the other advice given in the support materials. But I am not one to proclaim an official ruling here.
