We like to think of Gengo as a stepping stone for many newcomer translators to get experience in the field and give them fair opportunities to work on exciting projects like QuizUp, TripAdvisor, and ChannelAdvisor just to name a few.

This is why we're happy to announce that due to popular demand we're providing our hard working translators with Standard reference letters. For now, we can only provide reference letters in English.

How to obtain a reference letter

Simply contact us at support and we'll gladly provide you with a reference letter summarizing your work from Gengo since you received your first qualifications, and including the following information:

  • Start day
  • Language and level qualifications
  • Amount of jobs + words translated
  • Amount of rejected jobs (if any)
  • Overall quality score

You are also welcome to list the fact that you are a qualified Gengo translator and you may refer to the work you've done with us in your CV (while maintaining client confidentiality per the NDA you signed at the time you joined our team).
