Does Gengo use Machine Translation?

No. Gengo translation is all done by humans. The one exception is that developers can access machine translation through the API via the sandbox (for some language pairs) as a free service for testing. Please see further documentation about machine translation in our Gengo Developer docs. We use computer-assisted-translation (CAT) tools to speed up translation and ensure consistency, but the translation is done by a real person.
