Hello,
I was wondering what's going on with the Gengo Wordsmith t-shirt and profile badge? The reason I ask is because I reached 500K units translated on July 18th of this year. It is now August 31st (a month a half later) and I have not received any email notification of any kind having to do with the prize/acknowledgment that comes with reaching that milestone. I reached out to the support team about it and I was told that it was on hold. The wordsmith badge also does not appear on my profile. I have been having issues with my profile updating properly for a couple years now and I also contacted support about this, which has been forwarded to the tech team.
But anyways, I do know that they used to run a wordsmith campaign every month. So apparently now that's not happening anymore and I don't know when or if it will ever be a thing again? I feel a sense of disappointment after I had that goal to become a wordsmith, worked towards it, and finally reached it only to discover that the program is apparently not running. Bad luck I guess. I would like some answers as I feel like I'm in the dark on this.
Thank you

I recall that when I got my badge it was Laura that reached out to me via email to confirm my address for shipping.
Since she was the community manager, I can only assume that the t-shirts are a part of the responsibilities for that position.
I am not sure if we had a community manager in the latter half of July, so maybe the new community manager will reach out to you at some point in the near future.
Also, I am not sure about the Wordsmith campaign that you mention; it was never on my radar.
Hi Matthew, congratulations on this achievement!
Hope I get there one day too :)
Hi everyone! Hope you're doing well and safe!
@matthew - Thank you for sharing this in the forum, and also, congratulations on achieving this milestone! :) I've told your case with the team, and I will personally update you via email once it's okay. Good luck on your next journey!
As @collinmradford said, this campaign is handled by the community manager. Thank you, Collin, for replying to his post. Some of the tasks were halted due to the absence of a community manager. We apologize for this and really appreciate your understanding of our shortcomings. As the community management associate, I will do my best to get everything back on track.
Just a short description, the Wordsmith campaign is for translators who completed 500,000 words and are active on the platform. You can read more details in this support article.
@Дарья-Don't worry, you will surely get there too. It's not impossible, with patience and perseverance. Good luck on your journey!
Many thanks,
Rica
Thank you, Rica!
My language pair is not very busy (in terms of translations, not translators, haha), but I'll surely keep going :)
Yeah, not all language pairs are busy. But we never know what will happen in the future. Fighting Дарья! :)
Thank you to everyone who replied to my post and for all your clarifying remarks and words of encouragement. Much appreciated!
Wordsmith/Millionaire's Badge holder checking in and quickly approaching 1.5 million words translated. Keeping my fingers crossed for a replacement t-shirt when I hit that mark. It's been a while!
Hi @Nuno! Thanks for checking in on this thread. We are grateful for your continuous support, efforts, and commitment to our community. :)
The gifts for the Wordsmith and Millionaire are unique and will only be received once. Still, we are thinking of other means to continuously support our translators' journey after they reach the Millionaire's milestone. We will surely update the community about it!
Many thanks// Rica
Hey! I've translated 5,757,517 words and haven't received a Millionaire gift! How do I go about getting that?
Hi @LeaTranslations! :)
We apologize if you haven't received one. We are continuously working out the list for this, and I humbly ask for your understanding and patience. I will send you an email once it is okay.
We are thankful for your continuous support in our community.
Regards// Rica
