In the end of December, I translated a number of jobs coming from one customer and belonging to one project with the approval period of 240 hours = 10 days. In the guideline, though, it was written the approval period was 13 days - ok, no problem. It's been 19 days now since I completed the last job (and 23 days since I completed the first one) from that project and only one of them has been approved so far. The rest are still marked as pending second pass. A few days ago I wrote Gengo support to find out what could be the reason of such a delay and received the answer that jobs were still being quality checked. The person who responded to my support ticket wrote: "I believe the delay was caused by the sheer volume of translations the customer needs to go through and the new year holidays and we apologize for that."
Maybe, this explanation would have been enough for me if not for the similar case happened last year, about 6 months ago. I guess, everyone understands which case I'm referring to, since it was a huge project with hundreds of translators involved in it. So, I just want to know if I - again - need to prepare myself for getting paid for the work I've done (and this was quite a lot) much later than it is supposed to happen. I must say, I really hope that is not the case this time.
Thank you for your attention.
