Whenever i try to claim a job even the second after i am notified about, i always get "Sorry, this collection is no longer available for you to work on" or
"Sorry, this collection doesn’t appear to exist. Please check the ID or contact support." I installed Power-ups RSS version to have the fastest feeding intervals and tried another RSS feeders as well. Yet, I don't know what the problem is related to, but i missed dozens of jobs even if i responded at same second. I'd be pleased if anyone can come up with a solution about it.

Thanks in advance

How fast is your internet connection?

Unfortunately being quick is pretty much the name of the game, and I don't feel like things have improved in that regard.
It should get better when you are selected as preferred translator by a couple of customers or project managers and supposedly your score does influence your access to certain jobs as well to a degree.

I don't think you shouldn't get any jobs at all (like in days and weeks) as the notifications are spread out a bit (at least that's the conclusion I have come to), I could only imagine that to happen when you are working in a language pair that isn't terribly busy and/or if your internet connection is considerably slower than that of your peers.

I suppose my WI-FI connection is fast enough to be able to claim the job on time, though i was thinking that it could be related to a technical problem or etc. related to my account ID or settings. Thank you for the helpful clarification.

Your WI-FI connection can be, but is usually not the choking point. It's more about how fast the connection to the router is that your provider and the infrastructure can offer.

That's not to say that there can't be a problem with your account, I'm just another translator.

Edit: And it's worth taking a look at the router as well, of course. Sometimes changing the band or channel that it uses can speed things up as well, especially in more crowded areas.

I could finally see a newly coming job this time, and i was about to claim it, but missed it again while skipping the steps including the tutorial video. As it seems and you already clearly clarified, it is pretty much about the speed of the internet and acceptance of the job.

Hi Busra. Are you also working for the English-Turkish language pair? Then it is probably the reason for it. With the low volume of jobs and at least 30+ active translators in this pair, it may be difficult to grab jobs to work on. Also I think this time of year has been the most "silent" period throughout 2019.

In fact, 13 works have been announced since early morning, yet i could not claim any of those even if responded at the very same time. I still didn't get the exact system after all. The jobs are firstly sent or given to the translators with high statistics, and then to the ones with low or no statistics at all? Or it is completely another way of running?

I don't think that's the case. You might want to try using another RSS program and also refreshing the jobs page on the dashboard manually every once in a while might help getting the jobs quicker.

I'm using Gengo Power-ups version as RSS refreshing the page and checking for available jobs in every five seconds, as well as checking manually, yet it is still where i am
