Hello, my dear Gengo colleagues!

 

I just wanted to check if it's only me who experiences that the feed reader for Gengo isn't working or you guys have currently the same issue too.

I recently started using the RumpelstilskinRSS. But ever since I started using it, I consistently get the 504 Gateway time-out, which means I don't get any notification from it I don't know if it's the reader's problem or the RSS link itself.

Oh, by the way, I get the email from Gengo when there's an available job. But still I don't get jobs any when I refresh the page though.

 

I would really appreciate if you let me know if this is happening to you as well.

    You are not the only one... I've been experiencing the same issue since 2 days ago...

    :( that's too bad. I'm happy it's not the reader's problem though, cuz I was considering the other apps to use.

    I think it's the problem with Gengo's RSS link, so there's no need to switch to other apps, because no app will work as long as this problem persists...

    Thanks too, @Bakamonoyyn and @Evan for sharing your experience and knowledge about this matter.

    I apologize for the inconveniences of this issue.We thought that it was already fixed. There were no issues with the RSS link of translators who reported it earlier (we checked it last time), but there might be new circumstances within the system. I will relay the updates and announcement later, as I need to gather some information first from the team. I am always grateful for your patience and understanding on this matter.

    I use Feeder and it does NOT work. And it's been like that for almost a week now. In fact, it's been like this for months, and it doesn't look like it's going to be solved in the long term...

    When refreshing the dashboard, I see jobs without sound notification

    Hi elenagolova79. As far I know, the dashboard and the RSS feed are separate things, so it's possible a job appears on the dashboard and is taken before the cache for your RSS feed is refreshed, and vice versa. In the good old days when things went smoothly, I had the impression this happened to some 10% of all jobs in my pair, though I never measured it in detail.

    BTW It would be a nice feature if the dashboard itself could optionally produce a sound when there is a job, and automatically refresh every minute. Depending on their needs, perhaps this could for some translators entirely replace the feed reader.

    I mean that it looks like RSS feed reader with 5-second update has become less effective

    Today is December 11th. I have not had an RSS alert since November 29th. I did get an email yesterday re. a job (DE > EN), but it had not shown up on my RSS feed.    From the weekly overview it looks like there have been very few jobs lately anyway, but they definitely did not all show up on the RSS feed. Looks like there is still something fundamentally wrong here.
