I wanted to raise this issue with you guys because it's been happening for as long as I have been working here. I have been having problems with accepting many jobs because of an error message that keeps appearing when I try to click the "Start translation" button. It's a "Something went wrong" message and it keeps appearing until the "Collection unavailable" message appears. I tried to communicate with Support about this particular issue and they informed me that the job is simply unavailable anymore because it's assigned to another translator, so I made my peace with that.
It kept happening with most of the jobs, not all of them, so I thought there must be something wrong because it doesn't happen with every job. Until I noticed a pattern one day that whenever this error message appears, it happens because a particular translator was working on it. How do I know that? Some of these jobs were available for editing, and others just exceeded the allotted time, and "All of them" and I mean "All of them" were picked up by that particular translator. That can't be a coincidence!
So, I communicated my concerns with Support, and they kept asking for proof of my claim and had me provide many jobs' links and IDs. Fair enough! I did that, and they told me they would report to the "Relevant team". Then, nothing happened! I mean, I appreciate Support's efforts and I know that's all they can do, but this abuse is not fair, and taking jobs from many translators. Is Gengo just ignoring stealing jobs, or is it lowkey saying that it's "None of our concern as long as the job is done!" I hope this gets fixed soon because it's also affecting how the platform is functioning.
