Hello everyone, here's another rookie question.

What's a good translation for 担当者? Of course in English we would say "the person in charge of ..." but in many cases, a shorter (preferably one word) noun is required to make the sentence flow smoothly. Any suggestions or alternative translations?

    I recently came across this in a really lengthy job description- the person in charge of this for that. I abridged and contextualised to a specific named role in English, rather than preserving the long 何の何の何 chain that works in Japanese but gets awkward in English.
     Otherwise, manager, supervisor (egh? not necessarily). coordinator.

    I think "person in charge" is very universal and useful.
