We’re always amazed by the interesting responses that so many of you leave on the different forum threads, but we’ve also always been surprised that with so many great ideas floating around, we don’t see more translator-led discussions. We decided to write this post as a way of encouraging those of you who might have been secretly thinking about starting your own conversation to do so - and inspiring others of you who might not have thought about writing on the forum before.

If you haven’t done so already, we’d always recommend subscribing to the channels for the languages that you work with, plus the ‘Community’ channel for general discussions. That way, you’ll always be in the know when new people post or comment on any of the threads. But if you don’t see any discussions that spark your interest, you’re more than welcome to start up your own. We’ll always help you in the sense of being here to moderate the forums and support everyone, and also to help promote threads in the translator dashboard or monthly newsletter, if you want us to do this.

You don’t have to provide expert opinions - we’d just like people to share your thoughts so that we can all talk more as a community and exchange ideas on language-related topics.

If you’d like us to help you with posting on the forum or you have any questions or ideas for us, please don’t hesitate to contact katrina.paterson@lionbridge.com

Thanks for making the world a more connected place!
