Hello Lara,

I finished this job with a rather nonsensical character limit for the segments and I couldn't submit the collection, because one troublesome segment had a source text with 15,083 characters and the character limit for the translation was 1,000 (unfortunately, I didn't manage to shrink the text by 15 times — texts in Portuguese are longer than the English source in most situations). There was a segment in the same collection that contained only a name but had a limit of 99,999 characters, so something is really wrong here.

I've contacted Gengo support, who told me there was an ongoing issue about this and put the collection on hold, so I could keep working while they investigated the issue. The problem is, I finished the collection on November 16 and it is still held. I've contacted the support once again some days after the problem, but they had no updates.

I wonder if you could help me with that, since all I want is to submit the collection, which doesn't look like a supercomplicated problem. The real problem lies on the character limit, which definitely needs some revision (and some wisdom from the customer if s/he is responsible for setting the limit) in order to prevent this kind of problem in the future, and I believe that my job doesn't need to wait for the problem to get fixed to be submitted, especially if the solution is going to take a long time.
