Bocabo no longer seems to be working. Any news on this?
Hi Philip - thanks for bringing this up. I see it's been brought up in a couple of other threads yesterday, but please allow me respond here :)
We have recently taken Bocabo down. We have several reasons for this, including GDPR concerns and a need to free up resources. Additionally, please allow me to remind you that Bocabo always remained a prototype and we never got around to fully implementing it in the workbench/dashboard for easy access - in the near future, we would like to revisit the idea and improve it in order to create a better similar service that more of our translators can benefit from.
Thank you for your understanding,
That's a shame because Bocabo did allow for consistency in jobs without a glossary. Would be good, if you could come up with an alternative.
PS: Also, it would have been lovely to find out via an active message rather than having to ask what happened...
Hi Carola - thanks for your feedback. I completely agree that Bocabo helped maintain consistency in such jobs. While I can't promise the immediate implementation of a similar feature, this is definitely in my radar and I will be speaking with the team about it, so that we can create a better alternative and make it available to all our translators in a better way than Bocabo. (i.e. workbench, etc) If you have any suggestions on where you'd find it to be the most accessible from the user point of view, I'd love to hear them!
Any news on this? Any concrete plans or target dates that you can share?
I agree that Bocabo was quite an important feature and I'd love to see it return sooner rather than later.
Hello, is there any news on this? I keep getting small collections as part of larger projects and I have no way of knowing how previous translators handled certain terms. Very rarely do customers respond to such requests.
Thanks in advance for any update! :)
Hey all - at the time unfortunately I don't think there's any plan to bring back Bocabo. I will check with our Product team for any plans to implement something similar in the future!
