How are the payments calculated?

Hello, I just started translating for Gengo. I noticed some inconsistency on various jobs. I'll put two examples below:

Job 1, 171 words, 0.03$/word should add up to 5.13$? Instead I get 3.48$ why is this?

Job 2, 185 words, 0.03$/word should add up to 5.55$? Instead I get 3.33$. Also notice that the second job was slightly larger and still paid less. How come?

Does Gengo deduct US tax or something similar? I'm Swedish btw.
