I'm not too sure whether or not I'm posting this in the correct section; however, I was just wondering about this.

On the activity section of your Dashboard, which shows the number of jobs you've completed, hours translating, units translated, and rewards earned, I'm of the understanding that this only counts jobs that were completed through the regular Gengo workspace. However, I, and I'm sure there are many others out there too, have completed a lot of jobs offline and through the Projects Assignments Tool etc. (such as the JP>EN HIS project) that don't count towards this activity. I was wondering if it would ever be possible to include these other jobs in that activity.

For example, my units translated in my activity section shows that I've translated 31,557 units (I do Japanese to English so in my case, units = characters). However, if I include the jobs I've done through the Projects Assignments Tool (HIS, eBay, etc.) my total units translated would be well over 200,000.

I know it probably doesn't sound like much or it probably doesn't sound that important, but I thought it would be good to have more accurate stats there.

    Hi mitchell.curtis,

We can't include this info at the moment in that section of statistics because of some technicalities (the two databases aren't synced). However, if you want to request a reference letter with this information then we can provide that for you but takes a little time ;)

Any changes concerning this? Also, an additional question: are these jobs reviewed by STs?

@mirko: We are slowly moving all our offline work to our online system so they can be included in stats and so translators, projects team and customers don't have to work with gigantic spreadsheets which are inefficient.

These jobs are GoChecked depending on the job and size, always QA’ed by STs and project managers, and then checked by customers.

@Megan - Thanks for your reply.

Actually, I was referring to a job I recently did on Memsource, and, on a side note, I must agree with what many others wrote elsewhere: Memsource is much better than working on Gengo's workbench, both in general and especially when TMs/TBs are involved. As I wrote in the past, I (like many others) am really against your choice to do away with that and file-based jobs, only in order to be able to build TMs to use for discount purposes... And by the way, I absolutely have no problem whatsoever with "gigantic spreadsheets" (or text/Word files), as in that case I would simply feed them to my trusty CAT tool, as I've always done with good results so far. I know you're dead set on this (otherwise you wouldn't have spent so much time and resources on developing an internal TM system...), but I'm still hoping you'll reconsider...

Going back to the main topic: since today I received a ST review on a small 215 job, I suppose the 5k one I did on Memsource right after that won't be reviewed (I was kind of curious to see a ST review on that one...), while, concerning what Mitchell originally wrote, I guess there could be several unsung "Wordsmiths" amidst Gengo's ranks...
