Dear colleague,

Thank you for helping! I find there are some jobs is for the twitter, youtube, etc, and there sometimes appear a word 'via @' or '.@', in this situation, how do you translate this word? I translate the 'via' into '消息来自', is this ok? or do you have any other better translation? and how to handle the '.' when translating? welcome communicate!

Another thing, there sometimes appear '…' in English, should it be transformed into '……' or '' ?

    Hello Jenny,

    1. @name 与微博一样,是 twitter 的用户名,用来指代某个用户,一般要保留不翻译。如果有 "via" 可译为“来自”。

    2. 如果你翻译的是软件/app 界面的文字,则需保留 "..."。如果是其他文字(如生活化的文字翻译),需译为中文省略号“……” 。

    Thanks.

jenny, it is good to know that you understood it . but a doubt arises for me as im not aware of Chinese mode of translations. my question is why should you translate '@', '...', '.' these are widely accepted symbols right??? then why should you translate it??? these are not accepted in Chinese???
