    Are the bot users voting against my suggestion? There were 3 positive votes and suddenly 0...

    I got a job on projects last week. I got it because I was very lucky (actually not that much because I probably got paid $7 an hour for that standard rip off). I just happened to load the page at the right time. The previous time I got a job in projects was in april 2022.

    5 min ago I missed a $2500 job on the dashboard. Captcha was in full effect. I was shaking so much upon clicking on the rss feed link that I got completely confused with the captcha and didn't manage to get the pictures right before it was already too late.

    Here you go, Mr bot buster.

    disclaimer: I don't use bots and didn't downvote any of your inputs.

    In my language pair we are over 90 active users. Those are users who worked, so it doesn't include those who tried but didn't manage to. Now do the maths taking into account the number of available jobs... Conclusion: there are too many translators for the amount of jobs.

    I never saw a $2500 job on the dashboard. Which LP was it?

    We obviously have a very different experience with the Captcha as I was never asked to click on any picture but only to tick the box.

    pro en to fr...

    That was the most frustrating experience ever :)

    The biggest job I saw in ten years on gengo was just over $1000 and that was 8 years ago.

    ps. me too I don't get captcha images anymore on the standard workbench but that was in the external file type of jobs. Maybe why...

    We have the same LP (pro level) but I didn't see it (I use Feeder)...one more strange thing!

    we don't all see the same jobs at the same time. its been explained before that we each have our own allocated 60-second delay/time span during which new jobs don't show. This is to minimise the effect of having hundreds of translators clicking on the same job. But since we are too many anyway, it doesn't prevent a few (maybe 5 or more) translators having the same jobs at more or less the same time.

    I never saw any pictures on the captcha thingie myself either, just a click... which, if you stoop that low as to use bots, I guess it would be trivial to add some kind of mouse macro to automatically click it too, since it's always at the same screen coordinates and only requires one click.

    This captcha thing (as it is now, at least) is too little, too late, if you ask me.

    (EDIT: some quick googling tells me the captcha thingie looks for "human-like" mouse movement while getting to the checkbox, so my mouse macro theory may not be on point. It is still a mess, though, with some people at clear disadvantage by having to check pictures 🤷🏻‍♂️)

    @Gabriel

    Today, all the jobs were again "unclickable", same as before the captcha...I couldn't even see the captcha. They probably found a way...some anti-captcha trick. So, perhaps, you're right with your "too little"...

    Confirm many jobs (especially those with a higher reward) are vanishing fastly. I wonder if it's caused by the feed delay or what...
