Hello, friends.
Lately I've noticed that the Gengo website loads really, really slowly. This can be very frustrating when trying to "catch" jobs; when an available job appears on the dashboard and I click on it it takes forever to go on to the next screen. By then it's already too late and it's been taken already. This happens most of the time. Similarly, when I try to click on a job that appears on my rss feed reader it takes forever to open up the job screen.
I have tried this on iexplorer, Chrome, Safari, Windows, Mac and iOS and in three or four diffferent devices (and two different routers) with the same results.
Is anyone else experiencing similar issues?

I'm not sure, but I think it happens due to the great amount of translators trying to get the jobs when they come up, but Gengo should be prepared for this "flood".
Yes, and this has been happening for a long time. I agree with Samantha, I blame the fact that too many people are trying to visit that specific page at the same time. I think it's gotten worse since Feeder was released. It would be interesting to see if there was an increase in the number of active translators.
Just to let you know that things are not improving...Six Standard jobs just showed up, and the site doesn't go anywhere:
504 Gateway Time-out
After 5 minutes or so the jobs are all gone, of course.
I'm having the same issue as well, on numerous occasion when I clicked the job it takes quite a while to load the page, and when it finally load of course the job has been taken by others. This is especially true for the more lucrative ones. I assume this is caused by a flood of translators trying to access the job at the same time, and Gengo server wasn't able to keep up.
Yes, in my experience it has always been somewhat slow when a job pops up, but for the last two months or so it has gotten far worse.
I'm having the same issue! It's really slower than before.
Yep, same here. Really slow and frustrating...If I click on a job's link in the feed it takes forever to load it, and I lose jobs because of that, I'm sure (even 3 or more jobs will be gone by the time it manages to load...).
The site sometimes loads slow but looks like it is not as serious as all that (I am in Tokyo and use optical networking).
...
I am having the same.
Same here. Also, is it just me, or is the RSS down as well?
Hey all - we disabled the RSS feed earlier today to alleviate the ongoing technical issues. It is back up and running now. However, it is likely to be slow, so I don't recommend overly relying on the RSS feed reader until further update. We're currently investigating the causes of the difficulties we're experiencing, and working towards a solution. Thank you all for your patience!
