Hi>

Ive read on other threads here that the language combination Spanish > English is on offer at Gengo, yet when I try and select this combination on the tests page it doesn't appear?

Has this language combination been deactivated or is there a technical problem at my end?

Many thanks, Joe

    Hi Joe,

Thanks for your interest in working for Gengo :)

We still offer the Spanish to English language pair, but testing is closed at the moment (further information here.)

We open and close testing based on job volume and number of active translators, so it is quite difficult to predict when we will be opening the tests again. I recommend checking your Tests tab again at the beginning of each month, as that when you'd find the test available if we were to open it.

    Hope this helps,

    Lara

    Hello Gengo Team

    My name is Nicolás

I am new in this plattform, but I have found that the test for SPANISH LA-ENGLISH US does not available. I was very excited with have found a webpage like this, but I had with this surprise, the translations for Spanish are not available..

My native language is Spanish, the variety of Spanish spoken in Colombia. I have a question. Is the Latin American branch of Spanish affordable with the Spanish spoken in Colombia, because the flag showed in the options is from Mexico,  my doubt is this, I think that the Spanish is only refered to the variety found in México, In this case, if the translator is from Colombia, Argentina, Chile, Panamá or another Latin American countries, is this Spanish trustly?. I hope the Spanish translations will be demand for many people, I can´t believe that this language is not available yet, when the Spanish language is spoken by a great majority of people world wide, in contrast with Thai, Tamil, Norwegian and Hebrew, They have demand. What happen?

    Thanks for your kindness

    Nicolás

    Hello again

Why do you need my CVC of my bank card, if I have a bank account already?. In my country is only necessary the number of the bank account to do the deposit when you work as a employer for a company, because this number is very confidentially and non-transferable.

    Hi Nicolás,

The CVC of your credit card is needed when you are registering your card in order to make payments as a customer.

I believe you've registered as a translator, so you don't need to provide us with any of your credit card details. Payments to translators are made via PayPal or Payoneer (further details here.)

Regarding the availability of ES-LA>EN, I have already replied to you in at least two other threads, explaining that we do offer that language pair, but testing is closed not due to lack of volume, but to maintain a healthy ration between incoming volume and number of active translators.

    Hope this helps :)

    Hello

I had a doubt about the use of the payment system here, because I cannot give someone the CVC information, added to, that Paypal requires this information, and this are untransferible. At the first thread  I have understood the demand process of a pair language, so I do not have doubts about the disponibility.

i have all my doubts clear.

    Thank you

Hi, I'm inquiring about the Latin-American Spanish to English test, too. Do you anticipate availability anytime soon?

    Thanks,

    Hi Daniel,

Thanks for your interest in working for Gengo! :)

As explained above, tests are open and closed based on job volume and number of active translators. These are both quite unpredictable, which means that we can't really tell in advance when we'll be opening the tests again. I recommend to keep an eye on our Facebook page as we usually announce newly open tests around the beginning of the month. You can also check your Tests tab on your translator dashboard directly the first week of each month.

    Hope this helps!
